WHAT IS FIRST FRIENDS?


FIRST FRIENDS is a group of caring local families who help international college students adjust to and enjoy American life, while receiving a well-rounded introduction to America and its people.


We are a friendship organization that provides helpful services and activities and promotes friendships between international college students in the Chattanooga area and residents of the Chattanooga community.


WHO PARTICIPATES?


FIRST FRIENDS invites all international college students and scholars studying in the Chattanooga area who desire help or American friendship.   Our services, programs, and activities are open to ALL students of all nationalities and religions.


FIRST FRIENDS is not officially affiliated with nor part of any university.  First Friends is an independent group of families who are dedicated to friendship and help for international college students.

Our City

Chattanooga, a city in southeastern Tennessee, is set along the Tennessee River in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Its trolleylike Incline Railway scales steep Lookout Mountain before reaching Ruby Falls waterfall and Rock City, featuring sweeping views, sandstone formations and gardens. Point Park, also atop Lookout, marks the site of a Civil War battle now honored at the Battles for Chattanooga Museum.
